"Used this agent for our East Vail condo and motorcycle for over a decade. Had to switch the condo coverage a couple of years back, because State Farm wanted more than double other reputable insurance companies for the same coverage, like American Family insurance. When finally consolidated my motorcycle insurance with my car insurance company, the refund which was supposed to be pro-rata was about half as much. The office explained it to me as State Farm refunds based on when you cancel (i.e., you get less back if only Fall/Winter months are left). I don't see this in the paperwork they send and nobody ever mentioned it to me. Interestingly, if you don't pay in full, you get no such treatment (I would have paid monthly if I knew of this eschewed calculation). Doesn't sound right but not worth the time. I am just glad I am paying less than half for the condo and motor cycle insurance."
